The VP, E&PS, Americas & Global Real Estate Governance is a key leadership position in the organization with the responsibility to have a positive impact on J&J's North and Latin America based businesses through two platforms: proactive footprint strategy development and agile / cost effective service delivery. This role also leads J&J's global footprint optimization program for the direct enablement of the Janssen and Med Tech sectors. The successful candidate will connect with key stakeholders around the region, identify their business needs, translate and shape those needs into footprint solutions, and lead the Americas regional organization to deliver outcomes that grow the business. This leader will leverage their ability to connect with a wide array of J&J leaders at multiple levels in the company, influence footprint strategies at both the sector and enterprise levels, and deliver results. End to End Operations Responsibilities: Responsible for leading an organization of 1,700 internal and external HC for end-to-end footprint strategy and operations across the Plan / Build / Run E&PS functions for the Americas portfolio (20 countries, all sectors and J&J functions, enterprise wide). Leads the E&PS Americas organization to develop deep customer insights from which footprint strategy for the Americas will be shaped, as well as leading the organization to deliver outcomes via the E&PS service delivery model across 25 million square feet and 250+ properties, supporting over 45,000 J&J employees. Also includes the management of our WHQ location. Global Leadership and Governance Responsibilities: Accountable to shape, plan, and deliver J&J's global real estate strategy - directly enabling Janssen and Med Tech sectors. This leader will govern Global Real Estate to deliver significant value while improving service levels and employee engagement. Expected to lead A&D across all Engineering & Property Services functions in all A&D projects. Executive Engagements: As owner of enterprise footprint strategy, directs executive engagement with Exec Committee / EC members, J&J Supply Chain Leadership Team (JJSC LT) , Group Operating Committees (GOCs), CGCs, Treasurer, and Sector CFOs . KEY RE SPONSIBILITIES

    • Globally, accountable to shape, plan, and deliver J&J's global real estate strategy - directly enabling Janssen and Med Tech sectors - to reduce footprint costs by $100MM/year+. In this capacity, responsible for global governance of J&J's real estate strategic plan, projects, and decisions.

    • For the Americas, accountable for global governance of real estate strategy / footprint decisions to optimize. Expected to be over 100 decisions per year (long term, 5+ year impact), valued at $200 million annually (on average) including lease, buy, sell, new.

    • Delivers P&L impact across Annual Budget responsibility of $1.1 billion, comprised of:

    • $600 million / year operations expense in the Americas region (E&PS Americas role)

    • $300 million in annual capital spending for the Americas (E&PS Americas role)

    • Leads the customer connections and strategy development for workplace, footprint, and facility services for the Americas portfolio and over 45,000 J&J employees and partners.

    • Oversees 8-10 direct reports and leads an organization of 1,700 people to deliver end to end services (of 350+ E&PS employees / 1250+ external employees Real Estate, Project Delivery, Facilities Management) in over 20 countries in North and South America.

    • Responsible for the WHQ campus strategy and operations, including partnerships with local stakeholders (Rutgers, New Brunswick, State of New Jersey, etc.).

    • Real Estate: achieve $100 million+ in value via growth projects and property consolations for over 50 properties; 100+ decisions per year, valued at $200 million

    • Executive oversight of regional project delivery function to manage/deliver 400 projects, totaling over $1 billion.

    • Accountable for site risk management including EHS, crisis management, and maintaining quality.

    • Leads the global Real Estate council to deliver value by aligning the company's real estate holdings with its business strategy. Governs the Global Real Estate Strategic Plan to deliver +$300MM in value.

    • Influences $400 million per year of global real estate investments (held at the enterprise/corporate level).

    • Accountable for leading the Global property disposal program to liquidate $400 million in surplus properties by 2025.

    • Expected to lead A&D across all Engineering & Property Services functions in all A&D projects (approx. 200 sites acquired / divested over the past 3 years).

    • Establishes and manages the global external partner strategy, relationship and contract to execute over 100 Global Real Estate transactions.

    Internal Relationships:

    • Serves as key member of the E&PS global LT

    • Establishes key relationships with internal executives / customers to deliver service levels and meet business milestones in support of their objectives (including Med Tech, Janssen, and all other functions including Corporate)

    • Establishes and manages relationships with the J&J Executive Committee and its members, including key senior leaders in region and global leaders with a primary location in the Americas. This includes leaders across R&D, Supply Chain and Commercial function, Executive Committee members, Treasurer, and CFOs. on a routine basis.

    • Establishes and manages relationships with key enabling partners

    • Establishes and manages cross-regional/global franchise facilities management leadership

    External Relationships:

    • Serves as the external Real Estate face of Johnson and Johnson

    • Strategic partner relationships; cross-segment RE/FM/PM relationships; institutional and network forums

    • May serve on external boards of directors in industry groups: CoreNet, IAMC, etc.

    • University / Bachelor's Degree is required in engineering, business, or equivalent
    • Master's degree in business, facilities management, engineering, etc. or equivalent, is preferred
    • Minimum 20 years of related work experience is required, experience in health care products is highly desired
    • Minimum 15 years of CRE / facilities experience is required managing a portfolio of over 10 million SF across multiple countries, inclusive of project delivery, real estate and facilities management
    • Minimum of 10 years managing large global teams
    • Certification in CFM, MCR, and/or SLCR is preferred
    • Knowledge of operations management with some background in real estate, facilities management, and delivering capital projects in a complex footprint environment
    • Ability to travel globally and domestically approximately 20% annually is required
