    We are recruiting for Co-Ops located in Fort Washington, PA, Horsham, PA, Lititz, PA, Malvern, PA, Spring House, PA, Somerville, NJ, and Skillman, NJ, for the following teams:

    MAINTENANCE CO-OP: FORT WASHINGTON, PA

    The Maintenance co-op will function as a member of the Maintenance team of Engineers and Technicians, to identify, scope, and implement projects to improve process reliability and reduce operating costs, and improve and update procedures, drawings and SAP CMMS database documentation.

    • Establish and demonstrate an understanding of GMP requirements.
    • Develop/modify departmental SOPs and practices.
    • Establish and demonstrate an understanding of basic project management skills including development of a plan, schedule, costs, etc.
    • Preparing and executing engineering documentation, operating procedures, maintenance procedures, for utility and/or process systems.
    • Demonstrate an understanding of justifications required to support project proposals.
    • Review of design documentation, specifications, and related documents as they relate to engineering.
    • Establish and demonstrate solid communication and collaboration skills across functions.
    • Establish and demonstrate an understanding of the manufacturing process.
    • Demonstrate the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously is required.

    Our preferred majors are, but are not limited to:

    • Pursuing a B.S. degree in engineering, preferably electrical or mechanical engineering.

    Portfolio and Project Management Co-Op: Fort Washington, PA

    You will work closely with the Portfolio department, Project Management department, and multi-functional partners to lead in the management and execution of all elements of delivering projects.

    • You will routinely work with senior management, support project management team members and supply on an individual basis and in group settings
    • You will supply to Portfolio data management, system compliance across user communities, and Company Portfolio analytics with a focus on Tableau
    • Could work on both individual process improvement projects within the PMO department as well as support project teams led by Project Managers
    • You will also be responsible for maintaining the Portfolio Metrics for US Over the Counter project portfolio, enhancement of the reporting and tracking capabilities and leading/providing support to New Product Launch and Supply Chain Projects
    • Maintain active, regular communication and involvement with internal and external project team members
    • You should possess both an analytical and strategic mindset as well as strong problem solving and communication skills
    • You should enjoy trends in data, working with project teams and improving and simplify process
    • You should have Excel experience with v-lookups, pivot tables and macros is preferred. Tableau experience is preferred
    • Experience with SharePoint is a plus

    Strategic Sourcing Packaging Co-Op: Fort Washington, PA

    You will work closely with the External Manufacturing Strategic Sourcing Group within one of our Consumer operating companies, McNeil.

    • You will update and maintain the Approved Supplier List (ASL), communicating with the suppliers to obtain necessary documentation and obtaining and processing documentation
    • You will also create purchase orders as needed, distributes Packaging Master Files and Receipt Acknowledgement forms for primary internal components, and provides support and assistance on various projects
    • You will have the chance to work closely with the Consumer Supplier Quality team to ensure they are following all rules and regulations to consistently meet expectations and compliance, along with the External Manufacturing team to ensure they are receiving all necessary documentation for all McNeil led materials
    • Communicate with the suppliers to receive signed concurrence on all McNeil led specifications
    • Ensuring McNeil has compliant documentation from suppliers
    • Supporting External Manufacturing and Consumer Supplier Quality

    Strategic Capacity Management Co-Op: Horsham, PA

    • Be a part of a global team responsible for analyzing the strategic capacity profile of the internal and external Janssen network
    • You will support the Janssen Supply Chain Strategic Capacity Planning team during their annual renewal process to update the long term planning model
    • Organize future forecasts for all pharmaceutical brands, generating conversion files for entering the information into the modeling system, and analyzing the changes to the forecasts from previous years
    • Maintain the forecast templates and analyzing any discrepancies related to suppliers, volume allocation, and magnitude of demand
    • Responsibility for special projects may also be requested

    Engineering Co-Op: Lititz, PA

    The Lititz sire is currently is responsible for the manufacturing of all Listerine sold in North America, Aveeno and Lubriderm Lotions, Johnson’s Baby Oil, Bengay, Desitin Products, Polysporin & Neosporin.

    • You will have the opportunity to be a part of a Business Unit that has significant responsibility to overall site productivity
    • Work on project teams to improve the site processes and capabilities
    • You will gain exposure and understanding to the entire manufacturing process for a product, as well as have responsibilities to improve current ways of working
    • You will lead special projects

    • Operations, Engineering (Industrial, Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, Process/Project), Management Information Systems, Engineering Technology, Manufacturing, Science (Biology, Chemistry, etc.)

    Process/Project Engineering Co-Op: Malvern, Lititz, PA

    You will work closely with Project Engineers to identify, scope, and implement projects to improve process reliability and reduce operating costs

    • Your projects can be related to process improvements, mechanical or electrical equipment reliability issues, solving problems production problems, project engineering or process control design.
    • Preparing and executing engineering documentation, operating procedures, maintenance procedures, and commissioning and validation test plans for utility and/or process systems.
    • You will have the opportunity to review design documentation, specifications, and related documents as they relate to engineering.
    • Develop and implement tools for measuring, tracking, and improving standards compliance.

    • Chemical, Mechanical, or Biomedical Engineering

    SUPPLY CHAIN PLANNING CO-OP: FORT WASHINGTON, PA

     

    The Co-Op will be responsible for supporting base business tactically through report generation and analysis, and strategically through innovation and project work.  The Co-Op may have the opportunity to work on process enhancements with business process owners as well as different franchise planners.

    • Provide Supply Planning support including report ownership and analysis
    • Strategic member through innovation and project work
    • Identify process improvements
    • Attend and lead department meetings as necessary

    MANUFACTURING ENGINEERING CO-OP: SOMERVILLE, NJ

     

    The Manufacturing Engineering Co-Op will support the Advanced Technologies for Manufacturing team in the strategy and implementation of Process Capability projects and “Industry 4.0” solutions at our Global Manufacturing sites.   

    • Gain valuable knowledge pertaining to policies, practices and processes, associated with production of Medical Devices, through interfacing with manufacturing site personnel and engineers across global sites
    • You will be exposed to manufacturing environments and learn the application of current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP).  
    • Learn about the primary manufacturing processes for Wound Closure processes (from Polymer production, extrusion, annealing, attachment, packaging, sterilization, etc.)
    • Support the “Manufacturing for the Future” governance team in the coordination of digital manufacturing projects across sites, soliciting input from stakeholders to drive strategy
    • Support the development of technical guidance documents for the deployment of new digital manufacturing solutions, soliciting input from engineers across all sites
    • Partner with the Global Manufacturing Engineering team and site-based engineering to identify process capability improvements, define and deliver the business case for improvements and lead execution of approved projects.

    BUSINESS IMPROVEMENT CO-OP: FORT WASHINGTON, PA

     

    The Business Improvement Co-Op will supports the FW Site Portfolio Management Office and Process Excellence programs.

    • Support the site project portfolio
    • Resource model to support the project portfolio
    • Report on assigned metrics and associated performance drivers.  Use data as part of a comprehensive approach to process improvement
    • Project Management Services for capital projects when necessary
    • Coordinates site project review meetings to ensure projects are on schedule
    • FWP PE and Continuous Improvement  projects when necessary

    AT-COE ADVANCED PROCESS CONTROL CO-OP: SPRING HOUSE, PA

      

    The Advanced Technologies (AT) team within the Janssen Supply Group is focused on implementing PAT and modeling tools to enhance manufacturing processes. Some common PAT tools employed in manufacturing processes include NIR, Raman, and fluorescence based spectroscopy to monitor blend uniformity, content uniformity, residue analysis, and metabolites in bioreactors.

     

    • The Co-op will be part of a team responsible for implementing process analytical technology (PAT) tools in bioreactors. Specific tasks include assembling bioreactors for fed batch runs, sampling bioreactors for metabolite reference values, and collecting in-line spectroscopy data. The spectroscopy data will be used to build chemometric models to describe nutrients and metabolites as well as multivariate analysis (MVA) for process monitoring and control. The co-op will learn multiple spectroscopic techniques as well as analytical assays relevant to fed batch bioreactors.

  • Qualifications
    • You are legally authorized to work in the U.S. and not require sponsorship for employment visa status now or in the future (e.g. H1-B status)
    • Have a minimum GPA of 3.0 Cumulative
    • You are actively enrolled in Drexel University pursuing either a Bachelors or Master’s degree (but not necessarily taking classes)
    • You have reliable transportation to and from work daily
    • You are able to work full time (40 hours per week) during the duration of the co-op position.
    • Completion of at least freshman year of undergraduate academic program is required
    • Ability to lead multiple projects and initiatives while maintaining a strong sense of urgency.
    • You should be able to demonstrate strong analytical and quantitative skills, excellent communication and presentation skills and leadership qualities.
    • Have basic proficiency with the Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
