Job Description
We are looking for creative individuals to fill the positions of Cloud Engineer (REMOTE). The Cloud Engineer (REMOTE) will join the hardware and infrastructure engineering teams to support cloud migration activities as well as new development.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Design, develop, and maintain tools, services, and reusable modules and frameworks to automate provisioning of cloud infrastructure, building, deploying, and operating applications. • Develop and enhance DevOps methods for IT infrastructure • Design and deploy Microsoft-based systems to Azure • Contribute to an atmosphere of cross-functional teamwork. • Act as liaison between Infrastructure and DevOps teams • Contribute to and maintain design documentation • Orchestrate and automate hybrid cloud infrastructure • Support ongoing operations of cloud environment. • Determine root cause for issues ranging from simple to complex • Follow a strict change control process for all changes • Provide on-call support for escalated issues. • Be willing to learn and embrace new tools and techniques to increase performance, automation, and scalability • Work independently or as a team on multiple projects
REQUIREMENTS:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science/Engineering or related field or equivalent experience. • Relevant Azure Certification, other cloud certifications may be considered • Experience in experience as a Cloud Engineer or related position • Experience automating processes using languages including PowerShell and Python • Experience with infrastructure and cloud automation tools such as Terraform, Chef, Ansible, Octopus, Azure Runbooks • Strong knowledge of on-premise virtual infrastructures. • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. • Strong written and verbal communication skills. • Ability to effectively communicate technical issues and solutions to peers and external vendors.
