    Sterile Processing Tech **** Job Details Facility: CHI Memorial Location: Chattanooga, TN Department: Sterile Processing Job Type: Full Time Shift: 11p-7a ****Important Note: Nicotine is part of our pre-employment drug screen **Job Summary ** The Sterile Instrument Technician functions in the decontamination and sterile processing areas with responsibilities of cleaning, assembling, wrapping and sterilization of instrumentation. Included in these functions are daily monitoring and recording conditions of the sterilization process. Supports daily operations of all activities that relate to the processing of reusable medical supplies and instrumentation, including, but not limited to decontamination, cleaning, assembly, wrapping, sterilization, and storage processes within all set professional standards and regulations. # MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Education: * High School Graduate * 40 hours Purdue Central Sterile Program preferred or student Surgical Tech * Sterile Processing-specific Education: * SPD/Surgery System computer training * Medical Terminology * Outlook, Excel and Word training Licensure or Certification: * Preferred Certification through Certification Board for Sterile Processing and Distribution (CBSPD) or International Association of Healthcare Central Service Material Management (IAHCSMM) Experience: * Two years current Sterile Processing experience preferred.
