INTERN SURGICAL FIRST ASSISTANT (General Surgery) Full Time

(P000129729) **JOB SUMMARY: ** The Surgical First Assistant is responsible for assisting the physician throughout the intra-operative phase, as well as contributing to the delivery of quality patient care by working with other surgical team members during the preoperative and immediate postoperative phases. Education: The following are eligible candidates for the position: 1) Certified Surgical First Assistant, OR 2) College degree in health related field with five years of first assisting experience Licensure or Certification: 1) BCLS certified. 2) Tennessee Physician Quality Verification Organization 3) Credentialing privileges through the medical staff Experience: 1) Experience in first assisting a surgeon preferred.
