Patient Advocate Keystone Medical Billing Services - Plano, TX 75086 GENERAL SUMMARY: The Patient Advocate position provides support to patients in many areas across the revenue cycle, always treating patients with respect and caring. DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES: * Make patient callers feel listened to, cared for and assisted. * Assist patient callers in the following areas: * Making payments * Setting up payment plans * Answering billing and insurance questions * Filing claims to insurance * Other questions and assistance as needed * Appropriately process correspondence * Process returned mail * Process credit card payments * Post payments to patient accounts * All other duties as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS: * High School Diploma is required; * Two years of experience in a physician office, billing office, or hospital preferred * CPU/MED FM experience is a plus * Customer service experience required. * Must possess excellent communication and relationship skills * Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel * Detail oriented and able to multi-task * Ability to function under stressful situations and deadlines and demonstrate solid judgment; must be a team player. * High degree of confidence and ability to interact with all levels of the company * Ability to balance team and individual responsibilities WORKING CONDITIONS: * General office environment * Hours Monday Friday 8:00AM 5:00PM * This position requires sitting and typing for extended periods, some bending, stretching and stooping. * Requires manual dexterity sufficient to use a keyboard, normal range of hearing and vision, verbal communication and professional use of the telephone. * Work in sometime stressful situations. * This position is based in Plano, Texas EOE GlassDoor - 16 hours ago - save job - report job - original job Apply Now Apply On Company Site Save this job
