Exercise Physiologist Cardiac Rehab Cardiac Rehabilitation Professional/Technical Kingman, AZ Description Works under the supervision of the Wellness Center Director (WCD) or designee. The Exercise Physiologist (EP) is responsible for delivering cardiac rehabilitation services. He/she works with the WCD to plan, coordinate, and provide on-site delivery of inpatient and out-patient cardiac rehabilitation. He/she works with patients in the area and ensures the quality and safety of the program. He/she will also work with the WCD and the Cardiac Rehab. Nurse to market and advertise cardiac rehabilitation services with the public, physicians, and other health care organizations. He/she, under the direction of the WCD and the Fitness Manager, will assist in the general fitness area of the Wellness Center (this may include assisting with members, performing evaluations, prescribing exercise programs, and/or helping with special member programs). He/she will assist with education of patients, set patients up and monitor during outpatient cardiac rehabilitation, and perform inpatient cardiac education/rehabilitation as needed. Other duties as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS: 1. Education: Required: 1) BS in Kinesiology, Exercise Physiology, or Exercise Science related degree 2) CPR certification 3) Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification within 60 days of hire. Desired: 1) MS in one of the above areas of study 2) ACSM Certification as an Exercise Specialist Experience: Minimal 1 year experience as an E.P. Prefer experience working with cardiac patients, preferably in a cardiac rehabilitation setting.
