Job Description
Responsible for performing nutritional screens of in-patients to assess nutrition risk based on established criteria. Provides education/counseling for assigned patients on basic modified diets and regarding potential drug-food interactions, when applicable. Updates patient Cardex, as necessary. Assures that patients receive correct meals/nourishments per diet order. Confers with Dietitians and Lead Cooks for food and nutrition continuity and to optimize nutritional care. Assists in training new employees and dietetic interns. Participates in committee staff meetings, as assigned. Participates in the clinical/interdepartmental Quality Improvement. Completes month-end food service costs, as assigned. Completes clerical, and department in-services, as assigned by Department Director.

WAGE: Wage range starts at $17.02/hour. Actual wage will be based on years' of applicable experience.
FTE: Per Diem
UNION STATUS: This is a Teamsters covered position.
SCHEDULE: Must be available for variable shifts; weekdays and weekends
BENEFITS: This position is not benefits eligible.
