    Position Summary:
    We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Manager, Inventory Control.

    Responsible for order placement of pharmaceuticals and related products for Long Island Community Hospital. While
    working in concert with the Pharmacy 340B program team, this role will also provide customer service support to other
    departments within the LIC network as deemed appropriate. Responsible for maintaining relationships with suppliers and
    vendors, managing a hands-on, dynamic pharmacy inventory, and leading all operations in the receiving area. Requires
    an individual with the ability to be an effective leader and communicator who strives to provide a positive work
    environment in a world-class institution.

    • Demonstrates accountability in managing receiving area personnel, workflow, pharmacy inventory, and the
      dynamic needs of all applicable pharmacy stakeholders
      • Fosters and oversees effective relationship with pharmaceutical manufacturers and distributors to ensure optimal
      drug product acquisition and pricing
      • Coordinates and manages all new Medication Epic ERX requests
      • Creates dashboards for continuous process improvement
      • Works closely with the VBM (Value Based Medicine) team to identify and implement cost saving measures
      • Understands the importance of, and assists with, maintaining drug contract compliance
      • Assumes ownership of all pharmacy inventory operations while working in concert with the drug shortage
      committee to ensure uninterrupted supply of drug products
      • Clearly communicates intentions and strategies with all pharmacy staff
      • Recognizes the value and impact of core purchasing technologies and works with Pharmacy IT to automate
      processes to the greatest practical extent and maximize functionalities
      • Conducts business in a timely, professional, and ethical manner at all times
      • Works closely with the Pharmacy 340B program team to ensure continued program compliance
      • Receives relevant product invoices for payment, manages associated purchase order activity, and maintains a
      general awareness of these products financial impact
      • Demonstrates the ability to multitask and problem solve in a fast-paced working environment
      • Cooperates with internal and external customers to ensure efficient operations

    Qualified candidates must be able to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization.

    **Minimum Qualifications:
    ** Bachelor's degree and 2 years purchasing or similar experience Strong writing and oral communication skills

    Strong interpersonal skills that includes active listening and communicating

    Self-starter with minimal supervision

    Ability to work effectively and collaboratively with different teams both internally & externally

    Strong conflict management skills

    Strong customer focus with a sense of urgency and high level of accountability.

    Preferred Qualifications:
    Previous experience in managing a team Masters in Business Administration Five or more years of pharmacy purchasing
    experience.

    Experience with purchasing systems and supply chain management technologies are preferred.

    Ability to analyze, suggest and improve processes to improve total group efficiency and productivity.

    Long Island Community Hospital provides a salary range to comply with the New York State Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $57,500.00 - $80,000.00 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
