Job Description:The Progressive Coronary Care Unit is step-down telemetry floor that specializes in adult patients with congestive heart failure and other cardiac conditions. This is a progressive stroke certified unit. Unit Description:The Progressive Coronary Care Unit is step-down telemetry floor that specializes in adult patients with congestive heart failure and other cardiac conditions. This is a progressive stroke certified unit. Minimum Requirements:Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. Successful completion of LVHN Progressive Cardiac Education Program or previous Progressive Cardiac Nursing Experience. Successful completion of Cardiac Arrhythmia interpretation course by completion of orientation or passing score of challenge exam for Cardiac Arrhythmia Interpretation course. Basic Proficiency in Medication Administration Examination within first six months. ACLS within 9 months of hire/transfer. Preferred Qualifications:One year of recent progressive cardiac care experience preferred. BSN preferred External Applicants:BSN is required 4 years from start of employment. Licensure and Certifications:Current Pennsylvania Registered Nurse licensure. Current BLS Health Care Provider. ACLS within 9 months of hire.
