Laboratory Assistant Division: School of Medicine Department: Neuroimmunology Schedule: Full-Time Shift: AM/PM Hours: Job Details: * - HS Diploma or equivalent * Job Summary: The Laboratory Assistant performs operational level work in a teaching or research lab requiring delicate manual and/or manipulative skills in a limited variety of tasks where a thorough understanding of the principals are not involved. Performs other duties as needed. Job Specifications: Able to read; write legibly; speak in English with professional quality; use computer, printer, and software programs necessary to the position (e.g., Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint). Operate and troubleshoot basic office equipment required for the position; Able to relate and communicate positively, effectively, and professionally with others; work calmly and respond courteously when under pressure; collaborate and accept direction. Able to communicate effectively on the telephone; manage multiple assignments effectively; organize and prioritize workload; work well under pressure; problem solve; pay close attention to detail; work independently with minimal supervision.
