Housekeeping Ambassador1-Linen Division: Department: UH: Laundry and Linen Schedule: Full-Time Shift: AM/PM Hours: Job Details: * 0-1 year * Job Summary: This position will support LLUMC's strategic plan and the organization's mission to continue the teaching and healing ministry of Jesus Christ, while embracing the core values of Compassion, Integrity, Excellence, Teamwork, and Wholeness. The Housekeeping Ambassadors 1 in the Linen department is responsible for unpacking, stocking, covering, and delivering linen carts. Is responsible for restocking empty carts, folding and stocking scrubs into dispensing machines and organizes shelving storage area. Exchanges empty linen cart and take it to linen room. Records all linen deliveries, empties trash and waste and refills dispenser for the linen room only. These services may be provided for both the LLUMC and LLUC H hospitals. Performs other duties as needed. Job Specifications: Knowledge of folding technique and proper documentation. Basic knowledge of computer systems and software. Must be service focus and able to communicate problems and questions to supervisor and/or management. Must be able to verbally communicate in English. Able to follow directions and ask questions in the case of any uncertainty. Ability to apply common sense. Ability to understand situations and carry out multiple steps and follow instructions. Ability to deal with standardized situations with occasional variables. Must be able to take directions and carry them out completely and efficiently. Able to multi-task and have good organizational skills. Must be able to see and have a sense of touch. High School Diploma or GED preferred. No experience required. EOE AA M/F/Vet/Disability
