The Digital Health intern will have the opportunity to learn about healthcare finance and reimbursements. The program is at a critical stage moving from pilot to operations with software updates. Our Digital Health program focuses on Virtual Visits, Remote Care Monitoring, Patient Portals and much more! Develop a digital health financial model, help with operations/implementation, and identify key policy initiatives. Reporting Relationships: Direct report to Director, Digital Health Services. Frequent Contacts with Hospital Administration Senior Leadership, Finance, Human Resources, Purchasing, Payroll, IT, Engineering and Maintenance, Housekeeping, Security, as well as vendors, physicians, and nursing. Essential Functions * Develop Telehealth ROI Model working closely across Finance, Operations and the Digital Health team. * Develop digital health economic model. * Support patient portal activation. * Identify key telehealth federal and state policies impacting future telehealth. * Work closely to develop an organization guideline on telehealth reimbursement. * Identify payor and provider trends in digital health. Leadership: Contributes and develops key business plan documentation. Presents results and manages/facilitates individual workshops and committee meetings. Administrative Support: Provides expertise in telehealth and key digital health business perspectives. Other Duties: Participates in projects as assigned and completes within requested timeframes. Performs other related work as assigned. Minimum Qualifications * Pursuing Bachelors degree. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities * Ability to learn on the job. * Excellent organizational skills. * Must be able to take direction and work effectively both alone and collaboratively with others. * Demonstrated ability to independently seek out and obtain information. * Demonstrated ability to exercise good judgment and use discretion in confidential situations. * Excellent written and verbal communication skills required. * Able to communicate clearly and maintain professional appearance and composure with all types of individuals including faculty, management staff and others. * Exhibits a professional approach to work including a sense of responsibility for assigned duties. * Prepares and manages accurate file systems in a manner that is consistent with standard office practice. * Ability to utilize critical thinking skills. * Demonstrated ability and interest in learning new technology programs and economic models. * Intermediate level proficiency using computer software systems including Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, PowerPoint as well as other office equipment including Meridian phone system, copiers, facsimile, etc. * Follows safety policies and procedures. Incorporates ergonomic principles in work habits.
