    Actelion, a member of Johnson & Johnson's Family of Companies, is recruiting a Summer intern to work in their Marketing Department. Key areas of focus will be learning about our disease state (PAH) and the patients we serve; and supporting Marketing Managers in supporting our Commercial organization. Actelion Pharmaceuticals is located in South San Francisco, CA.

    IMPACT ON JANSSEN BUSINESS:

    • Recommendations on data collection and utilization which can improve ability to assess PAH Companion and help form an external value story for program.

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Prepare a recommendation for long term data collection and utilization opportunities for PAH Companion program. Project will include understanding all of the elements of the Actelion PAH Companion program, learning all of the data currently collected and/or available to us, and providing a recommendation to management on what data can ultimately tell a compelling story around the success of the program.
    • The scope of this role will be to conduct various internal interviews and review analytics reports to contribute to the final recommendation.
    • Participate in summer career development programming to help inform interns of how the pharmaceutical industry works and understand key career achievements to succeed in a corporate environment.
    • Summary presentation of PAH Companion data
    • Recommendations on improvements to data collection
    • Recommendations on which data currently available can be used in future value proposition

    QUALIFICATIONS

    EDUCATION:

    • You are enrolled in an accredited college/university pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Business, Biology, Chemistry or Communication.
    • Strong analytics skills

    EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:

    Required:

    • You are available to work 9-12 weeks from May - August and have the ability to work full-time during that time.
    • Experience in communicating project work.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
    • Be highly organized and able to lead multiple tasks.
    • Have the ability to work individually (independently) as well as on a team.
    • Students should be able to provide his/her own transportation to/from their work location.

    Preferred:

    • Demonstrated leadership is preferred.
    • A minimum G.P.A. of 3.0 is strongly preferred.

    OTHER:
