    Wilson & Company is seeking a registered civil engineer with 4 to 8 years of experience to lead the sustainable design of municipal infrastructure projects involving the treatment and supply of potable water as well as the treatment and disposal of wastewater and sewage.

    Essential Job Functions:

    • Although expected to work independently, this individual must be able to interact and work well with other Wilson & Company team members.
    • High degree of interpersonal and effective communication skills.

    • Comfortable developing and managing business relationships with private and public clients.

    Responsibilities and Duties:

    • Conduct feasibility studies of water infrastructure facilities.
    • Perform hydraulic analyses of water distribution and wastewater collection systems.
    • Design of water systems such as storage tanks, booster pump station, transmission and distribution lines, groundwater wells, and water treatment facilities.
    • Design of wastewater systems including collection systems, lift stations, force mains, and wastewater treatment processes.
    • Design of effluent reuse systems such as tertiary filtration, storage, disinfection, pumping, and distribution.
    • Provide technical direction or supervision to junior engineers, engineering or computer-aided design (CAD) technicians, or other technical personnel.

    Required Skills

    Required Experience

    • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering in an ABET-accredited college or university.
    • Master’s degree in a field directly relevant to water and wastewater treatment is a plus.
    • A minimum of 4 years of relevant experience in municipal water infrastructure design.
    • Proof of having passed the Colorado Professional Engineer (PE) exam and within a year of obtaining a license, or an already licensed professional engineer in Colorado.
    • Knowledge in the use of Autodesk AutoCAD and Civil 3D for design
    • Knowledge in the use of Autodesk AutoCAD and Civil 3D for design plan production.
    • Experience with modeling software such as WaterCAD and SewerCAD is a plus.
    • Experience in the preparation of work plans, budgets, and project schedules is highly desired.
    • High level of independence, confidence, and strong work ethic.
    • Effective and clear writing and verbal communication skill.

    Annual Salary Range: $65,000 - $115,000
