    Gifts Officer

    We are seeking a full-time Gifts Officer to develop and implement strategies for raising funds in support of Riverside’s mission through individual and corporate donors and events.We make a true difference in people’s lives through rewarding work.     Riverside Community Care is one of the largest and most respected community-based not-for-profit behavioral healthcare and human service organizations in Massachusetts.     The Gifts Officer will:

    · Identify, cultivate, solicit, and steward a portfolio of mid-level individual and corporate donors. Responsibilities include building relationships with donors and personally soliciting sponsorships and gifts.

    · Manage and implement annual gala, including providing leadership and support to the gala committee, working with vendors, and meeting fundraising goals.

    · Contribute to overall strategy of Development Office through regular team meetings and planning.

    Our ideal candidate is a team player who is upbeat, demonstrates excellent multi-tasking skills, has a strong ability to build and maintain relationships and has a history of success in all of the above.

    Salary Range: $70,000-$80,000/year depending on experience.

    Schedule: Hybrid with one day in the office preferred each week; requires some in-person meetings with donors and in-person attendance at events.

    Required Skills

    • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and relationship management skills

    • Strong computer skills and ability to learn new platforms as needed; Experience with Excel a plus

    • Must be detail oriented and accurate, and able to manage several projects simultaneously

    • Must be able to work independently with little supervision and as part of a team

    • Strong interest in and commitment to Riverside mission

    • Willingness and availability to work some evenings and early mornings

    • Must have valid driver’s license and regular access to a reliable vehicle and the ability to travel around the state

    Required Experience

    • Bachelor’s degree
    • Two plus years of development experience, ideally in direct fundraising and fundraising events
    • Facility with development information systems and databases a plus
