Auris Health, Inc., part of the Johnson & Johnson family of companies, is redefining medical interventions. By combining advancements in medical robotics, instrumentation, navigation, and data science, we are building intelligence platforms capable of growing the applicability of robotics to a new spectrum of medical procedures. We are seeking a hardworking individual for a co-op position within the Algorithms & AI team.

As an Co-Op, you will work closely with other ML Engineers, Research Scientists and Software Engineers within the R&D Flexible Robotics organization to develop novel solutions and automated infrastructure for effective medical data analysis and annotation to empower deep learning research to tackle difficult problems in computer vision and robotic navigation. This will be a phenomenal opportunity to see how ML solutions and Data-centric AI approach work within the medical device industry and make a lasting improvement to our infrastructure and tooling. This is intended to be a role that lasts multiple school terms enabling a deeper dive than an internship.

CORE JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Collaborate across the team (and with other groups within J Johnson & Johnson) to understand data annotation needs in relation to available tools
• Research and implement the approaches within data for AI pipeline such as efficient data engineering tools for repeatable building, maintaining, and evaluating of datasets
• Evaluate, develop, configure, and deploy of group-wide ML labeling tools

QUALIFICATIONS

• PhD candidate or master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent
• Proficiency in Python
• Hands-on experience with machine learning/deep learning frameworks (e.g. PyTorch, Tensorflow). Familiarity with computer vision and/or robotic data processing is a plus.
• Experience with cloud computing
• Experience with labeling data for machine learning projects
• Familiarity with cross-platform software development, cloud computing, and version control systems (Git, etc.)
