Job Details:
The Pharmacy Clinical Manager reports to the Health System’s Executive Director of Pharmacy/Chief Pharmacy Officer and is responsible for planning, organizing, developing, marketing, implementing, directing, monitoring, and evaluating all clinical programs, services, and activities of Dayton Children's Hospital (DCH) in support of safe, efficient, clinically effective, financially responsible medication use consistent with the pharmaceutical care needs of the patient population served as well as the needs of the organization’s diversity of customers; systematic and ongoing training, development, evaluation, and coaching of pharmacy staff to ensure competency for participation in those clinical services; and development, implementation, and enforcement of drug use policies and formulary management decisions via the authority of the Pharmacy and Therapeutics (P&T) Committee. The Clinical Manager will ensure that clinical pharmacy services are provided with sufficient scope and coverage and with appropriate resources to meet the requirements and needs of the patient population and community served; continually evaluate and implement evidence-based best practices for the delivery of DCH’s clinical pharmacy services; and ensure the quality, continuity, and cost effectiveness of all such services within DCH; and develop clinical pharmacy services goals and objectives consistent with and in support of those of DCH.
