Purpose:
In this position, the Manager, Global Real World Evidence (Oncology), will support strategy development and execution of industry leading RWE capabilities across the Janssen Global Commercial Strategy Organization (GCSO). The Manager, Global RWE (Oncology) will report directly to the Senior Director, Global RWE, and partner closely with RWE Researchers and Programmers in the GRWE Analytic Hub, to optimize our global go-to-market launch planning strategies through innovative and highly strategic decisions and investments using RWE.
Major responsibilities will include conducting evidence generation and dissemination activities in support of pipeline and marketed products or indications within Johnson & Johnson Innovative Medicine’s Oncology Franchise. The individual will also contribute to strategy development in assigned areas of responsibility, and work in close collaboration with the respective cross-functional teams to support medical adoption and market access for our products.
This position also supports key partnerships within GCDS verticals, and with cross-functional and regional partners from Global Medical Affairs, Global Market Access, Global Marketing, Global Epidemiology, J&J Technology Data Sciences, Janssen R&D Data Science, reginal medical affairs, evidence generation functions, and others.
You will be responsible for :
Supporting the development of the global strategy for the generation and utilization of RWE for our key assets including, for example, data-driven patient journeys and deep-understanding of unmet medical needs
Contributing to the development of outcomes-based tactics to support the business unit’s strategic plan, ensuring compliance with regulatory, legal and commercial regulations for conducting research and dissemination of scientific information.
Leading Researchers and Programmers within the GRWE Analytic Hub in developing and driving strategies to generate evidence and demonstrate value for Johnson & Johnson products, from concept through publication
Ensure quality of design, execution, and publication of outcomes research studies and quality of models & tools developed for business partners.
Analyze and interpret data to communicate the value of Johnson & Johnson products to internal and external partners.
Represent GRWE team on assigned cross-functional franchise teams with internal partners such as Global Medical Affairs, Global Market Access, Global Marketing, Global Epidemiology, J&J Technology Data Sciences, Janssen R&D Data Science, reginal medical affair and evidence generation functions, and others
Stay up-to-date on relevant healthcare policies, regulations, and market trends to inform evidence generation and value demonstration strategies
Represent Johnson & Johnson at conferences, industry events, and other relevant forums to promote the company's dedication to improving patient outcomes
Qualifications / Requirements:
A minimum of a Master’s Degree is required, in Public Health, Health Services Research, Economics, Epidemiology, Health Policy or related field. An Advanced Degree, Doctorate Degree is preferred (PhD, PharmD or MD).
A minimum of 1 year of industry experience with a PhD and 3 years experience with a Master’s degree is required.
Exposure to outcomes-based strategies and tactics to meet both commercial and scientific objectives for a given product is required.
Experience in conducting outcomes research studies applying health economics, patient-reported outcomes, retrospective and prospective data analyses, epidemiology or health services research is required.
A thorough understanding of pharmaceutical commercialization and drug development process is preferred.
Solid understanding of and/or experience with the reimbursement environment for key international markets is preferred.
Prior publication track record in epidemiology, clinical, statistical and/or health economic journals is required
Excellent communication and training skills is required
Hands-on experience with programming in major statistical analysis systems, such as SAS, R, and Python is required.
