We are a private, non-profit organization, that serves individuals in Southern Minnesota and the Twin Cities Metro Area. Job Summary: Under the direct supervision of the department leader, the Intern will work with clients on-site and off-site, using their learned social work skills and tools. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Receives field experience working with MRCI clients, using social work values, ethics and skills by completing some or all of the following: Assist with program activities. Assist staff in the capacity of a paraprofessional. Attend and participate in meetings as requested. Communicate with clients and staff. Observe staff as they complete care plans and documentation. Complete tasks and projects as requested. Qualifications/Requirements: Must be part of an internship program through an accredited post-secondary school. Possess strong problem solving, analytical and communication skills. Proficient in computer based office software including Excel, Word and ERP system. Clear a MN Department of Human Services background check. Experience with developmental disabilities and/or mental health issues is helpful. Must complete 2 (two) hours of mandatory orientation training.
