    Education Program/Web Coordinator **OVERVIEW: ** The Division of Postgraduate Medical Education develops and implements educational activities for physicians and other health care providers, as well as patients and the community. Situated within the MGH Department of Psychiatry, the programs offered focus on special topics in the field of psychiatry. The programs offered include live conferences, audio and video webinars, and online simulation tools. Under direct supervision of the Program Manager, the Education Technical Coordinator will be primarily responsible for project management for MGH Psychiatry Academy web site projects and building activity pages for the MGH Psychiatry Academy courses. Duties will include technical project management, coordinating the MGH Psychiatry Academy web sites and online course materials, coordinating the collection and posting of materials into the learning management system, assisting with the logistics for live programs, summarizing program attendance and evaluation data, and providing backup customer service to our current and potential members by phone and email. **PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: ** Position requires exceptional organizational skills, as well as ability to use various online systems for content and learning management, for the successful performance of duties listed below: Website Project Management * Organize efforts between internal teams and outside merchants and vendors to develop optimal solutions * Work closely with vendors to scope, communicate, and deliver bug fixes and new features for existing products * Schedule and lead regular meetings to discuss and plan technical projects and products * Provide status reports of outstanding work, including progress, critical issues and risks, mitigation, and planned activities to the Business Manager and Managing Director * Serve as the primary escalation point for customer service and tech support issues related to client and vendor products * Lead search engine optimization activities including content strategy, link building, and keyword strategy and work to continuously improve overall rankings on major search engines * Keep up to date on a broad spectrum of technologies, recognizing when new technologies or updates offer new opportunities * Create and manage project plans and timelines * Identify process improvement opportunities and recommend solutions and lead implementations Online responsibilities: * Build educational activities online through the MGH Psychiatry Academys Learning Management System (LMS) and Content Management System (CMS) * Track the development of online learning activities through established workflows * Assemble course materials on the website, from start to finish with program manager and department director * Course materials include video presentations and webinars, broadcasts, live programs, resources, and self-assessment modules * Make weekly updates to web site landing page, about us page, faculty page, activity pages and marketing landing pages * Produce e-merchandising pages for events that require tuition payments using the platform CVENT Live program support * Provide onsite support for programs which may include occasionally working during weekends. Data collection, reporting and organization * Assist in data entry and collection, for the purpose of report generation and reconciliations * Prepare program evaluation reports as assigned Serve as the Psychiatry Academy backup customer service agent by answering the customer service phone line when the primary agent is on the phone or away from her desk. The Psychiatry Academy receives 50-200 calls per week. Common questions include: * Registering for events on the phone * Requesting certificates for programs attended * Navigating website * Asking questions on program content/faculty * Resolving website password issues/problems, and resetting passwords * Asking for referral to appropriate resources, i.e., education programs, clinical resources, etc. * Various other customer service issues Perform other duties that are appropriate to this level of position, including cross-training with customer service program coordinator and web and video coordinator, to ensure smooth production workflow. * 2-5 years of experience required * Strong project management and vendor management skills * Ability to communicate ideas in both technical and user-friendly language Some experience with web content management systems (WordPress and ExpressionEngine are a plus) * Attention to detail and excellent organizational skills * Ability to read and write HTML * Excellent computer skills, including the ability and willingness to learn new programs and platforms. * Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. * Good grammar and spelling. * Ability to effectively and courteously collaborate with a diverse group of people * Ability to handle multiple tasks in a busy environment * Knowledge of medical terminology is helpful but not required * Ability to independently manage projects and meet deadlines * Ability to problem solve, under minimal supervision Educational requirements: * High school diploma or equivalent. * Degree, certificate or coursework in web design, development and coding a plus **Primary Location: **MA-Boston-15 Parkman - MGH **Work Locations: ** **Job: **Education/Training Coordinator **Organization: **Massachusetts General Hospital **Schedule: **Full-time **Job Posting: **Dec 19, 2018 **Shift: **Day Job
