    Coffeyville Regional Medical Center, or "CRMC", is a 25-bed, non-profit, critical access hospital serving Southeast Kansas and Northeast Oklahoma since 1949. As a rural hospital, CRMC is surprising because of its large size and wide variety of services. Although we can provide many of the same services you will find in a big city, we take great pride in our friendly and caring staff.

    The Buyer/Receiving Clerk manages procurement of all supplies, minor equipment and services for the hospital and its clinics. S/he will assure optimum cost efficiencies and appropriate inventory and stock quantities for successful hospital and clinic operations

    JOB DUTIES:

    • Create orders, verify pricing and ascertain product availability
    • Work with specialty vendors, complex delivery schedules and urgent requests
    • Research backorders and locate substitute products, as necessary
    • Monitor purchase requests for contract compliance, ordering patterns and assist in supply cost management, including GPO
    • Research products for purchasing options meeting purposed requirements and problem solve as necessary
    • Assure proper inventory of stocked items within the hospital and clinics
    • Monitor usage and inventory levels, assuring proper stock revolution to maximize use of supplies prior to expirations, as applicable
    • Receive and validate orders delivered for proper quantity and condition
    • Maintain confidentiality of all information according to HIPAA and company policy

    The Buyer/Receiving Clerk assumes other responsibilities as assigned.

    JOB REQUIREMENTS:

    • Strong verbal and written communication skills
    • Detail oriented with proven ability to multitask
    • Professional appearance and ease in developing rapport with others
    • Ability to frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, as well as stand, walk, talk, hear, sit; reach with arms, hands and fingers to handle and feel; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; taste and smell as demonstrated by the pre-employment physical administered by CRMC at offer, required

    EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

    • H.S. Diploma, G.E.D. or equivalent work experience in field, required
    • 1-2 years’ healthcare materials management, stock room or inventory experience, preferred
