    Job Description

    We are seeking a highly organized and efficient Medical Secretary II to join our Primary Care team in Parkton, United States. In this role, you will be responsible for providing essential administrative support to our healthcare professionals and ensuring smooth operations of our medical office.

    • Manage and coordinate patient appointments, including scheduling, rescheduling, and sending reminders
    • Greet patients, check them in, and collect necessary paperwork and insurance information
    • Maintain accurate and up-to-date electronic health records (EHR) for patients
    • Handle incoming phone calls, emails, and other correspondence in a professional and timely manner
    • Verify insurance coverage and obtain pre-authorizations for medical procedures
    • Process medical billing and coding, and assist with insurance claims
    • Prepare and organize medical documents, reports, and correspondence
    • Coordinate with other healthcare providers and departments for patient referrals and follow-ups
    • Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintain patient confidentiality
    • Assist with inventory management of office supplies and medical equipment
    • Perform general office duties such as filing, faxing, and photocopying
  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    • High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's degree in Medical Office Administration or related field preferred
    • 2-3 years of experience in a medical office or healthcare setting
    • Proficiency in medical terminology and electronic health records (EHR) systems
    • Strong knowledge of medical billing, coding, and insurance procedures
    • Excellent computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and scheduling software
    • Outstanding customer service skills with a patient-centered approach
    • Exceptional attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills
    • Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations
    • Experience with insurance verification and claims processing
    • Medical Secretary certification preferred
    • Familiarity with medical office procedures and protocols
    • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
    • Strong time management and organizational skills
