Sonepar is seeking a Senior Data Developer to participate in the design and implementation of ETL and data integration components, application program interfaces, and databases to provide highly scalable back-office server components typically in a data warehouse and business intelligence framework.  Our associates are focused on building customer-centric applications, adapting to change, and improving efficiencies to deliver value for the business.

• Develop professional enterprise caliber software products delivering real end-user value and efficiencies
• Assist with data development underlying enterprise software
• Maintaining and operating large scale back-office data integration framework
• Collaborate in the continuous improvement of our development methods including metric definition, quality processes, and our software development practice in general.

QUALIFICATIONS

• BS in engineering, mathematics, or business discipline with focus on software development or management information systems
• 3 to 5 years of experience desired
• Working knowledge of SQL database technologies preferably Microsoft SQL server
• Working knowledge of JSON, JavaScript
• Basic knowledge of data warehouse methodologies
• Entry level knowledge of ETL processes and data integration
• Familiarity with PowerShell and use of REST API development and operation
• Working knowledge of C# and .Net framework development
• Familiarity with MS Azure cloud platforms is highly desirable

Other desirable skills

• Familiarity with Agile software development and maintenance methodology
• Cloud based database knowledge is preferred
• Python, Scala, big data, and cloud-based data development frameworks
• Exposure to data science and business intelligence development and methodologies
• Exposure to MS Power BI or other high level data visualization frameworks
