Serves as a salesperson and meets departmental sales goals. 1. Greets customers and assists with purchase selections. 2. Receives payment by cash, credit card, payroll deduction, and debit card and issues receipts, change, credits, or refunds to customers using computerized cash register. Deposits daily sales receipts. 3. Assists with the monitoring of inventory and restocking of shelves and displays as needed. Communicates stock needs and transfers with retail leadership . 4. Receives, checking and pricing of new merchandise. 5. Trains volunteers and new hires. Experience Education: High School diploma or equivalent. Licensure, Certification and Registration: None required. Complexity of Work: Requires critical thinking skills, effective communication skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action. Required Work Experience: 1 year of customer service experience.
