Job Details: Unit Assistant Memorial 7 This newly constructed 25 bed inpatient unit is scheduled to open May 2018! The Unit Assistant (UA) is a very important administrative and customer service role. The UA acts as a liaison between the patient and/or family and MSK staff to ensure timely and efficient provision of services during the patients stay. The Unit Assistant also ensures accurate and timely implementation of orders, assists with the coordination of services, and responds to patient and family inquires in a professional manner (both face-to-face and via phone). Confidence, critical thinking, the ability to multitask, prioritize and great customer service skills are essential in this role. Requirements: Education: A High School Diploma or GED is required; Bachelors degree preferred. Experience: At least 2 years of relevant clerical experience demonstrating usage of multitasking, prioritizing, decision making, providing customer service, organizational and computer/data entry skills. Previous experience working within a healthcare organization as a Medical Secretary or similar role preferred. 3 Shifts Available! * 7a.m. 3:00 p.m. with weekend rotation required. * 3p.m. 11:00 p.m. with weekend rotation required. * 11p.m. 7:00 a.m. with weekend rotation required.
