Job Details: The MSK Care Advisor acts as part of an administrative and clinical team to receive, assess, and bring to appropriate resolution all new visit (external and internal) requests for physician services at the Center while demonstrating excellent customer service and communication skills. You Will: + Screens requests according to Service and Physician criteria to ensure the most accurate scheduling. + Maximize patient access while providing a public relations role sensitive to patients' needs by using critical thinking and decision making skills. You Have: + Interest in a role that combines both clinical and administrative responsibilities. + 1-3 years of related experience within the healthcare field; a Bachelor's degree is strongly preferred. + Knowledge of medical terminology; ability and interest to learn clinical information and criteria. + Ability to handle acutely ill outpatients in stressful situations. + Knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word. + Availability Monday-Friday (Must be flexible between the hours of 8am and 6pm; schedules vary for Department coverage) + Superb communication skills; able to effectively partner with patients and colleagues. + A strong interest in working with people in a customer service environment.
