Job Details: About This Role: Under RN supervision and in collaboration with the Research Study Assistant, the Pharmacokinetics Tech will conduct Phase I Pharmacokinetic studies. The Pharmacokinetics Tech also performs and facilitates the collection of Pharmacokinetic Studies including the set-up, PK processing and PK data management. Responsibilities also include, obtaining and documenting vital signs, performing EKGs, and monitoring quality assurance of PK in storage or transit. Responsible for the accuracy and compliance of collecting & processing PK samples, protocol source data and its updates in the unit. Monitors patient's subsequent PK appointments to assure continuity of care. Checks emergency cart equipment, defibrillator, suction machine, and pulse oximeter daily and assist RN in performing weekly cart inventory and lock change. Float to All MSK NJ Regional Locations, if necessary. Shift: 8 Hour shift flexed between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 8:30 p.m. Monday - Friday - later hours may occasionally be required This is a Full Time Position Skills: IV line venipuncture for PK study Routine venipuncture EKG Vital signs, Processing PK samples PK supply requisitions and shipping & storage of samples. Requirements: High School diploma and 1-2 years of technical education (LPN program, medical technician or nursing assistant program) IV and Phlebotomy certification with clinical experience 2 years of strong job-related experience Computer skills (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint) Excellent communication, professionalism, and computer skills are essential in this important role.
