Position Summary: The Physical Therapist II evaluates and treats patients to promote recovery from and positive adaptations to physical deficits caused by injury or illness in the Transitional Rehab Service department at Long Beach Memorial Medical Center. He/she develops, implements, and oversees a patient's individualized therapy plan, aiming to facilitate the highest levels of physical independence and recovery. The Physical Therapist II seeks input from the patient and family to ensure that the therapy plan directly addresses patient concerns regarding improving movement and managing pain. He/she actively participates in departmental program development and educational training for students and new hires. Minimum Requirements: * California Physical Therapy license is required. * Master's degree in Physical Therapy or equivalent advanced degree from an acceptable Physical Therapy program is required. * Must be panel-approved by California Children's Services (CCS) or working to gain approval at time of hire. * A current American Heart Association Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers (CPR & AED) certification is required. * Must have 1+ years of prior work experience in clinical physical therapy. * Must demonstrate aptitude and skills in developing clinical education for students, trainees, and other affiliated staff. * American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) membership and California Physical Therapy Association (CPTA) membership is recommended. **Primary Location: **United States-California-Long Beach **Work Locations: ** **Job: **Therapist-Occuptl, Phys,Speech **Organization: **MemorialCare Health System **Job Level: **Staff **Schedule: **Part-time **Job Posting: **Dec 27, 2018, 10:33:14 AM **Shift: **Day Job
