Research may include accessing Cerner. * Answers phone promptly by the third ring. * Referrals are sent to the appropriate area and follow-up according to the referral process. * Act as liaison between patient and various departments. * Appropriate holds are placed on patient records. * ------------ Payment Guidelines. * Knowledgeable on charity care. * Knowledgeable on bank loans. * Appropriate payment plans are set up in the system. * ------------ Account transactions. * Documents in Cerner any actions involving patient accounts. * Notes must be clear and comprehendible. * Documentation must be completed promptly. * Essential Functions II * ------------ Participates in mandatory in-services and/or CE programs as mandated by policies and procedures/external agencies and as directed by management. * ------------ Follows and understands the mission, vision, core values, Employee Standards of Compassionate Care/AIDET and company policies/procedures. * ------------ Other duties as assigned.
