Friday 7:00 am - 3:30 pm (occasional weekends) Hours Per Week: 40 wk Starting Hourly Rate: 21.85 Contact Information: * Contact: Leslie Shook Job Details: * * Purpose of Job * Responsible for performing major biomedical and minor radiology repairs, on specialized medical equipment to ensure patient equipment properly functions to support diagnostic and treatment services * Job Requirements * Education * High School diploma or General Educational Development (G.E.D.) required. * Associates Degree in Electronics-related field required, preferably in Biomedical Electronics or Radiology Electronics or Military Training Equivalence. * Vendor Service Training by multiple original equipment manufacturers on equipment such as anesthesia equipment, heart/lung machines, lasers, patient monitoring systems, and patient ventilators, nurse call systems or other medical equipment preferred. * Experience * 3 - 5 years previous experience working with specialized BioMedical and/or clinical equipment required. * Surgery Anesthesia system experience preferred. * License/Certifications * Certified Biomedical Electronic Technician, Associate Medical Instruments (AAMI) Certified Biomedical Equipment Tech (CBET), Certified Lab Equipment Specialist (CLES) certification preferred. * Certification by multiple original equipment manufacturers, such as anesthesia equipment, heart/lung machines, lasers, patient monitoring systems, and patient ventilators, nurse call systems, to repair medical equipment preferred. * Valid and current driver's license required. * Skills/Knowledge/Abilities * Advanced knowledge of specialized medical electronic equipment maintenance required. * Strong knowledge of Joint Commission and regulatory requirements related to medical equipment required. * Knowledge of advanced troubleshooting techniques required. * Knowledge of proper electrostatic discharge techniques required. * Knowledge of determining values of discreet components required. * Skilled in planning, delegation, time-management, and problem-solving required. * Strong verbal communication skills for positive interaction with staff and customers required. * Advanced computer skills in device areas of interface networking and advanced service software preferred. * Able to read electronic schematics, blueprints, and other manufacturer and hospital documentation required. * Skilled in soldering down to component level required. * Able to climb ladders required. * Able to read, write, and comprehend various written reports and documents required. * Able to travel to various locations required. * Physical Requirements * Weight Demands * Medium Work -
