    • Purpose of Job * Assists in the various activities of the Pharmacy department not requiring the professional judgment of the pharmacist. * Job Requirements * Education * High school diploma, General Educational Development (GED) or equivalent required. * Admittance to a nationally recognized School of Pharmacy Program. * Experience * N/A * License/Certifications * Required Registered Pharmacy Intern (RPHI) within 30 days from start of employment. * Skills/Knowledge/Abilities * General basic chemistry, arithmetic, basic algebra, reading and writing.
    • Computer skills including Microsoft Outlook and Word. * Functions with strict accordance with standard, written procedures and guidelines. * Interpret and evaluate medication requests for triaging to pharmacist. * Prioritize time and tasks according to the needs of patients without prompting. * Manufactures, packages and labels drug products as needed.

    • ALL credits are checked per shift, returned to pharmacy, and put in proper location. * ------------ Teamwork exhibited by actions * Completion of orders to point of delivery (visual inspections while staffing). * Follows established policies and procedures for pharmacy operations. * Respectful of pharmacist oversight of activities (feedback from pharmacists). * ------------ Safety Competencies * Critically manages assigned areas based on established policies and procedures. * ------------ Hazardous Drugs * Demonstrates ability to safely handle and deliver Hazardous Drugs. * ------------ Central Pharmacy * Actions represent the best interest of the patient (observational). * Follows all Safety Alerts: Code Red; Code Triage; Code Adam. * Essential Functions II * ------------ Participates in mandatory in-services and/or CE programs as mandated by policies and procedures/external agencies and as directed by management. * ------------ Follows and understands the mission, vision, core values, Employee Standards of Compassionate Care/AIDET and company policies/procedures. * ------------ Other duties as assigned.
