Education/Experience/Licensure -Education/Formal Training -Work Experience -Credential/Licensure -REQUIRED: -Completion of a masters degree or higher in a nursing specialty and is demonstrated through national specialty certification as a nurse practitioner. -Atleast Three years of general nursing experience of clinical practice at the RN level or higher. -Registered Nurse with current license to practice professional nursing in the state of employment and Advanced practice licensure / certification as required by state of employment. Key Job Responsibilities -Assesses, diagnoses, and treats patients in the assigned center according to approved protocol and acceptable standards. -Performs necessary diagnostic and therapeutic procedures according to written, approved protocols developed with and under the supervision of the Medical Director/collaborating Physician. Participates in the design and revision of protocols. -Collaborates with Medical Physician and ancillary personnel as appropriate to promote quality care for patients. Makes referrals as appropriate. -Recognizes and reacts appropriately to environmental safety factors related to patient care. -Understands, applies and supports practice policies, procedures, goals and standards. -Develops strong partnership with patients, family members, fellow physicians/nurses and support staff. Focuses on high patient and family satisfaction and retention. Physical Requirements -Frequent invasive and non-invasive patient contact. -Exposure to patient body fluids as well as exposure to hazardous or poisonous materials. -Exposure to excessive heat or cold as required. -Ability to react quickly to emergency situations. -May require handling or administering of narcotics. -Ability to read and write to communicate orally and in writing with other individuals. -Ability to lift and carry up to 40 lbs. -Ability to sit in one place, stand, walk, squat, kneel, reach, twist, crawl, and bend. -Ability to perform repetitive hand and wrist motion, as well as using hands for gripping and squeezing. -Ability to use hands and feet together for repetitive coordinated motions. -Good hand-eye coordination.
