Lic Pharmacist Intern Position Highlights: * Performs the work of a pharmacist, under the supervision of a registered pharmacist, including but not limited to the processing of prescriptions, compounding and distribution of pharmaceutical preparations, consulting concerning safety and efficacy of medication, monitoring patient therapy, assisting the patient with management of their therapy, keeping records and making reports required by law, and processing of documents required by the hospital. The Ideal Candidate: * Will have experience with evaluating patients and processing medication orders. * Experience with unit-dose, computer systems, and I.V. admixtures is preferred. * Conveys a positive image of Moffitt to customers. * Exhibits a problem solving attitude; constantly seeks ways to improve processes, increase efficiency, find solutions to current situations or to develop new methods and procedures. Responsibilities: * Reviews new orders for appropriateness of therapy considering the patient's diagnosis, age, weight, height, sex, medical condition, drug history, and allergy profile. * Maintains inventory control and quality. * Delivers medication, including controlled substances and department stock supplies (exchange carts) and maintains all necessary records. Credentials and Qualifications: * Actively enrolled in an accredited College of Pharmacy or a licensed foreign Pharmacist required. * Licensed as a Pharmacy Intern in the state of Florida required.
