Research Coordinator I Position Highlights: The Research Coordinator I will work closely with Dr. Susan Vadaparampil, faculty member in the Department of Health Outcomes and Behavior and Associate Center Director for Community Outreach and Engagement. Her research focuses on accelerating the adoption of advances in cancer prevention and treatment into the clinic and community. She applies behavioral science, epidemiology, health services, and clinical perspectives to improve uptake and dissemination of genetic counseling and testing for hereditary cancer, human papillomavirus (HPV) vaccination, and reproductive health. Community collaboration and an emphasis on health equity are foundational to her research, education, and outreach efforts. The current position would be focused on supporting Dr. Vadaparampil in the coordination and management of day-to-day research activities associated with a community health needs assessment study. The Ideal Candidate: * A professional, personable, organized individual with healthcare/medical knowledge in oncology and experience with community based recruitment of study participants. * Excellent communication skills in English and Spanish * Ability to work in a team environment * Capable of handling multiple projects simultaneously * Skills in descriptive analyses is desired * Skills in participant interviews is desired Responsibilities: * Participant recruitment * Survey and interview based data collection * Tracking participant data * Coordinate administrative tasks for the investigators, including protocol amendment changes and preparation of IRB documents for regulatory review * Maintain effective working relationships with internal and community collaborators * Organize and participate in study conference calls and meetings * Search and retrieve relevant scientific literature * Assist in the preparation of manuscripts, abstracts, and conference presentations Credentials and Qualifications: * Associate degree required with 2 years of relevant experience OR Bachelor's degree is required. * Hands on research experience * Must have good organization and communication skills. * Must work well under pressure of meeting mandatory deadlines.
