Will develop consolidated data needs and sources and evluate database structures and QA/QC toold to perform data analyses and produce reports, identify and troubleshoot data issues and application defects, and identify recommendations for improvement. Works toward ensuring high quality data capture and consistent data reporting to support research, clinical processes, planning, decision making and administrative and payer supoprt. within BMT CI. These duties require a high degree of critical thinking, communication and follow-through. In the performance of assigned duties, the BMT Data & Quality Analyst will: * Work on complex problems in which analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of various factors. * Exercise independent judgment and project oversight within broadly defined practices and policies in selecting methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria for obtaining results. * Act independently to determine methods and procedures on new assignments. QUALIFICATIONS * Education: * Bachelor's Degree (REQUIRED) * Field of Study: Life Sciences, Statistics, Database Management/Reporting, Programming * Master's Degre (PREFERRED) * Minimum Experience Required: * Minimum two (2) years experience in data management and review and data QA/QC procedures and implementation of data control processes. * Experience must include understanding and developing data quality related documentation (e.g. data dictionary), business processes, working with varied computer systems and working with multiple complex databases. * Excellent data analytical skills and proficiency in software applications including Word, Excel, Access and * PowerPoint, and one of the following: SQL,SPSS, SAS,R/S-Plus that can be used to identify and provide automated mechanisms to detect, correct, or confirm data problems. * Minimum Experience Preferred: * Ability to learn new software systems and business intelligence tools. JOB COMPONENTS * Engage with the BMT-CI team and other business stakeholders to understand the needs for ongoing projects/intiatives and data sets related to building a robust data warehouse for ICE-T needs. Perform gap analysis , provide short term and long term solutions , abstracting data for projects as needed and working on solutions to automate data integrations into BRAIN. * Spearheading the initiatives, to integrate ICE-T data into BRAIN from other EMR and other data sources to meet CIBMTR, REMS,CAR-T and ICE-T Needs. * Contribute to maintenance of data dictionaries, process, methodologies and reporting. * Working closely with ICE-T leadership, provide populated data set which will include abstraction of patient records until source data can be imported to fullfil all needs. * For ICE-T, design and build automated QA Reporting system in preparation for readiness for FACT and REMS audits * Prepares periodic reports for external and internal reporting. Ensures that continuous quality and process improvement efforts are implemented and supported. * Job Specific Duties: * Collaborates with business stakeholders (BMT-CI, REMS, CAR-T, CIBMTR, FACT) on building a comprehensive list of data elements to be maintained in BRAIN. Develops, maintains and expands the BRAIN data dictionary so that the appropriate data elements for CIBMTR, ICE-T, CAR-T initiatives are included, centralized and documented. Responsible for data quality documentation and initiatives to automate and centralize data from multiple Moffitt source systems (PowerChart, Capstone, PathNet, OnCore etc.) into BRAIN. * Provides timely population of consolidated ICE-T data set whether by abstraction or linkage to other data sources. * Lead the effort to respond to changes in data requirements for ICE-T including data elements, source identification, requirements for new reports, dashboards, validation, documentation and tracking of data reporting. * Collaborate with internal and external team members to identify, troubleshoot data issues or application defects, fast-track issues and gaps, and determines root causes and form recommendations for future improvement.
