    Rad/CT Technologist - Medical Imaging - PRN .extra-padding-top { margin-top: 20px; } Medical Imaging Montrose, CO, USA DOE Hourly Per Diem Additional pay in lieu of benefits. Position Overview: This position is a dual CT/Rad position that is responsible for performing various CT and radiology procedures daily and on call according to department policy and protocol under the supervision of a radiologist. Maintains accurate records as required by regulatory agencies including the Joint Commission and the American College of Radiology (ACR). Functions in other medical imaging areas as indicated by experience and background and as needed or assigned. Essential Functions : 1. Perform a variety of tasks involved in operating x-ray equipment to make radiographs of designated anatomical areas of interest. Adjust equipment for proper radiographic exposure techniques in accordance with radiation safety guidelines. 2. Explain x-ray procedures to patients. 3. Position patients for each anatomical view using positioning assistance devices and protective equipment as necessary. 4. Monitor accessory equipment and assist the physician with fluoroscopic procedures and special radiographic procedures. 5. Accurately process images for optimal quality. Match with appropriate paperwork for interpretation. 6. Charge radiographic procedures in; able to modify orders per protocol. Demonstrate acceptable film quality standards by critiquing positioning, technical factors, and collimation. 7. Understands and uses the Image Archival System 8. Provide education and training to MMH affiliated radiology technology programs. 9. Provide orientation to new technologists. 10. Monitor all unread studies without notes. 11. Perform other related duties incidental to the work herein Qualifications & Skills: a) Education: Completion of an AMA approved School of Radiologic Technology plus completion of an accredited CT program. OR Graduate of a bachelor's degree program in Radiology, with two semesters of clinical rotation in CT OR Years of clinical experience may substitute Accredited CT program. b) Training & Experience: Prefer one year experience but not mandatory. c) Licensure and or Certification: ARRT certification in Radiography, CT certification within 18 months of employment, BLS certification. d) Job Knowledge: Knowledge of anatomy and physiology as it relates to Radiologic exams.
