SUMMARY

Occupational Therapists are autonomous health care professionals who assess and provide occupational therapy services to patients for activities of daily living (ADLs) including eating, grooming, toileting, dressing as well as self-maintenance tasks, work and productive activities and play/leisure activities per the Occupational Therapy Practice Act in the State of California. The OT evaluates performance components of sensory, neuromuscular, motor, cognitive, and psychosocial skills for outpatients medical/surgical, skilled nursing and if requested, home healthcare patients.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

Must be a graduate of a school approved by the American Occupational Therapy Association and the Council of

Medical Education and Hospitals of the AMA.

Must have at least a Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Therapy.

Preferred one to two years experience in outpatient, pediatrics, skilled nursing and/or home care settings.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

Current State of California Occupational Therapist license.

Current California Drivers License.

Current Car insurance.

Current CPR certificate.
