    Charge Registered Nurse (RN) - Full Time Work Location: Hillsborough County Jail State/Territory: US-FL City: Tampa # of Openings: 1 Status: Full time Shift: 1st Description NaphCare has an excellent opportunity for a Charge Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team! The Charge Registered Nurse (RN) works under the direct supervision of the Health Services Administrator (HSA) and Director of Nursing (DON). The Charge Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for providing direct clinical nursing overnight and nursing care. Position Requirements Current, unrestricted Registered Nurse license in the state of employment Valid CPR card Minimum of 3-5 years clinical experience in a healthcare setting Correctional healthcare experience preferred Performance Expectations Work cohesively with the HSA and DON in the coordination of the healthcare delivery system, as well as other functions within the facility. Collaborate with nursing staff at all levels, interdisciplinary teams, executive leaders and other stakeholders in streamlining services within the facility. Assist with orientation and training activities of clinical personnel. Ensure nursing practice conforms to state licensure, accreditation, and regulatory agency requirements, and company policies and procedures. Assist with evaluating the quality and effectiveness of the clinical services and assist in developing systems to ensure and monitor patient care and safety. Use knowledge and expertise to ensure that nursing processes and systems are followed appropriately according to policies and procedures, company performance, and accreditation standards. Coordinate, structure, implement, and guide the delivery of the nursing service program within the facility, including direct oversight, leadership, management, guidance, support, and evaluation of clinical performance by the LPNs, CNAs/MAs, EMTs, and RNs. Respond to and initiate care for medical emergencies within the facility, including the ability to perform continuous CPR until properly relieved. Take and document all patient history and vital signs, assist with examinations and/or treatments, and report all changes in patients conditions to the appropriate level of healthcare provider. Conduct daily clinical rounds to all designated areas of responsibility to observe and review documentation, orders, and patient care plans and ensure that objectives are understood and practiced by the nursing staff. Assist with daily triage/sick call, minor medical/surgical procedures, and patient assessments. If you want a career that will make a difference, choose the company that is different.
