Community Development Intern National Mental Health Community Symposium
- Atlanta, GA Part-time, Internship The National Mental Health Community
Symposium seeks part-time interns for our 8 week community engagement
and marketing internship. If you are a hardworking student pursuing a
bachelors or masters degree in social work, counseling, psychology, or a
related degree, this may be the position for you! This internship in an
unpaid opportunity to engage and network with top professionals in the
mental health/substance abuse field. Selected individuals will have the
ability to gain knowledge and communication skills around raising
awareness and driving high levels of attendance and participation for a
national events. Interns will also learn vital skills: organization,
client relations, group events, business development, marketing, social
media strategy, and brand development. Qualifications: * Must be
currently enrolled in a Bachelors or Masters of Social Work, Psychology,
or Counseling program. * Must have knowledge of Internet and Microsoft
Office software (MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, MS Outlook). *
Knowledge of Sales Force or other CRM Software preferred but not
required. * Ability to lift and/or move up to 10 pounds. * Must be able
to ride in a vehicle for extended periods of time. * Experience working
with vulnerable populations preferred. General Responsibilities: *
Engage top Mental Health Professionals via phone, social media, and
direct invitation. * Help develop, organize and execute events and
projects. * Uploading and posting photos, and content for websites,
social media, and e- marketing, etc. * Attending meetings with
development agencies and partners. * Attend weekly team meetings. *
