    Job Description

    THIS IS A FULLY REMOTE POSITION. PREFERENCE WILL BE GIVEN TO CANDIDATES THAT LIVE IN ONE OF OUR ESTABLISHED STATES: MA, ME, CT, RI, NH, NJ, NY, VA, FL, SC, GA. 

    LOOKING FOR MEANINGFUL WORK, GREAT BENEFITS, AND A PLACE TO BELONG? AS A TISSUE OPERATIONS COORDINATOR, THE WORK YOU DO WILL HELP IDENTIFY OPPORTUNITIES FOR LIFE-SAVING TISSUE DONATIONS THAT CAN LEAD TO IMPACTING COUNTLESS INDIVIDUALS.  TISSUE DONATIONS ARE PIVOTAL IN HELPING CHILDREN WHO REQUIRE HEART VALVE TRANSPLANTS LEAD FULL AND HEALTHY LIVES, BREAST CANCER SURVIVORS IN NEED OF MASTECTOMY SURGERIES FEEL WHOLE AGAIN, RESTORING SIGHT TO THOSE WHO SUFFER FROM CORNEAL BLINDNESS, AND SO MANY OTHERS.

     

    WHAT YOU’LL DO:

    • Handle incoming donor referral calls from hospital staff and clinical partners to obtain all relevant patient information
    • Determine individuals’ potential to help others through the gift of tissue donation by evaluating relevant medical information
    • Coordinate logistics of tissue recoveries with both internal and external partners and stakeholders
    • Follow best practices and provide exemplary customer service while communicating with teammates, partners, and stakeholders including Hospital staff, Clinical partners, Funeral Homes, Medical Examiners, District Attorneys, and others.

    WHAT YOU’LL WORK:

    • Four 9-hour shifts per week
    • A variety of Day, Swing, and Night shifts
    • Shifts that support our 24-hour, 365-day a year mission including weekends and holidays

  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    WHAT YOU’LL BRING:

    • Bachelor’s degree preferred
    • Prior experience in an Organ Procurement Organization (OPO) or other tissue donation related field preferred
    • Working knowledge of medical terminology
    • Excellent telephone communication skills
    • Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office suite, clinical databases, and Electronic Medical Records
    • Excellent organizational skills and a strong attention to detail
    • Must be flexible and proactive, and have a positive attitude
