    Job Description

    We are seeking an experienced Nurse Manager to join our healthcare facility in Baltimore, overseeing patient placement operations and supplemental staff management. This role combines clinical expertise with leadership responsibilities to ensure optimal patient care delivery and efficient staff utilization.

    • Direct and coordinate patient placement activities to optimize bed utilization and patient flow throughout the facility
    • Manage and supervise supplemental nursing staff, including scheduling, performance evaluation, and professional development
    • Develop and implement staffing strategies to ensure appropriate coverage across all units
    • Monitor and analyze staffing metrics, patient placement data, and operational efficiency indicators
    • Collaborate with department leaders to assess and fulfill staffing needs
    • Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, policies, and procedures
    • Lead quality improvement initiatives related to patient placement and staff utilization
    • Provide mentorship and guidance to nursing staff
    • Participate in administrative on-call rotation
    • Develop and maintain effective relationships with interdisciplinary teams
  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) required; Master's degree in Nursing or Healthcare Administration preferred
    • Current RN license in good standing
    • Minimum 5 years of nursing experience with at least 3 years in a leadership role
    • Demonstrated experience in staff scheduling and patient placement operations
    • Strong understanding of healthcare regulations and compliance requirements
    • Excellent organizational and time management skills
    • Proven leadership abilities with experience in staff development and performance management
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
    • Proficiency in healthcare information systems and scheduling software
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
    • Experience with quality improvement methodologies
    • Ability to work flexible hours and participate in on-call rotation
    • Management certification preferred

    Compensation:

    Pay Range: $49.35-$74.05
