    Job Description

    ** General Summary**
    Under the direction of the Director of Nursing Practice & Education, the Wound Ostomy Continence & Infection Prevention (WOC & IP) Nurse Manager is accountable for the design and delivery of acute and rehabilitative care of patients with ostomies, complex wounds, pressure injuries and incontinence. This role also includes oversight of clinical nurses specializing in infection prevention best practices, ensuring that nursing-led infection prevention interventions are effectively implemented and maintained across patient care units. This role is accountable for the quality of clinical services delivered, for the competency and performance of clinical staff, for the evaluation and selection of equipment and supplies, and for designing and maintaining systems to support multidisciplinary team functioning and continuity of services.

    Qualifications

    • Master’s degree is required.
    • Licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of Maryland.
    • Three to five years of clinical experience as an WOCN therapy nurse. Graduate of an accredited school of Would Ostomy Care and certification by the Wound Ostomy and Continence Nursing Certification Board (CWOCN) are required.
