Ohio Medical Alliance helps eligible patients obtain recommendations for medical marijuana from a certified physician at our office locations throughout the State of Ohio. Job Summary As part of the Ohio Marijuana Card marketing team, the Event Coordinator will be responsible for the planning, coordination, and execution of events throughout the State of Ohio. The purpose of these events will vary, from educating the public about the benefits of medical marijuana, networking with other businesses in the industry, as well as recruiting events for doctors and staff. We are seeking an ambitious and self-motivated individual with the experience and confidence to lead all aspects of event planning and execution. The ideal candidate would be an advocate for medical marijuana with relevant past work experience. In this position, you will work closely with the President to develop new ideas for events, and then lead the execution of said events. Responsibilities * Coordinate details for conferences, meetups and other social and virtual events. * Research speakers, organizations, conferences and events for better brand awareness. * Schedule speakers, vendors and participants as necessary. * Oversee event timelines to ensure deadlines are met. * Send out invitations and manage RSVP list for event attendees. * Keep inventory of conference materials such as giveaways, marketing collateral, signage, etc. * Travel to events to oversee set-up, breakdown and general working of the booth. * Oversee travel arrangements including flights, hotel and car service. * Coordinate registration lists, presentations, and materials. * Assist in the development of social media content and event strategy * Send out pre and post event communication to all event attendees and organizers. Qualifications * BA or BS in Marketing, or other related business concentration. * Minimum 3+ years of related marketing and events experience. * Highly organized. * Extreme attention to detail and careful follow-through. * Outstanding oral and written communication skills. * Ability to plan, execute and deliver on varying simultaneous tasks in a timely manner while working independently.
