    Janssen, a member of Johnson & Johnson's Family of Companies, is recruiting for Medical Affairs Interns located in Horsham, PA. Janssen is the name given to Johnson & Johnson’s global group of pharmaceutical companies. These companies market both conventional and biotech products in a broad range of therapeutic areas.

    The internship is in the Medical Affairs division of Janssen Scientific Affairs. The Internship Program is focused on providing college students with practical, industry-specific scientific and analytical experience.

    THIS POSITION IS AVAILABLE IN THE FOLLOWING AREA:

    • Field Based Medical Affairs in Solid Tumor Therapeutic Area (Field Operations): Learn about and work on projects involving the MSL role, Medical Insights analysis, data dissemination, clinical education tools, and advisory board support. Working with a large field based medical team, this role will also work on identifying key healthcare providers in the lung cancer, prostate cancer, and bladder cancer space. This role will also include cross-functional team exposure and field operations – including vendor management, budget, strategic priorities and logistics planning.

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Work collaboratively with Medical Affairs staff supporting ongoing projects

    • Assist with activities and projects related to Field Operations, including target provider lists, meeting agendas, key slide decks, etc.

    • Organize and conduct team franchise calls

    • Develop knowledge of advisory board management and execution

    • Understand the MSL role and territory planning

    • Be exposed to various other functions within the larger Medical Affairs/Research & Development/Commercial organizations (Oncology)

    Qualifications

    • Candidates must be enrolled in an accredited college/university pursuing graduate study in PharmD, PhD, MPH or other master’s program in a science related field

    • Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States and not require sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g. H1-B status) now or in the future

    • Candidates must be detail-oriented, analytical, highly organized and able to manage multiple tasks

    • Candidates must have the ability to work individually (independently) as well as on a team

    • Candidates need to be proficient with Microsoft Office, Word, Excel (including a high proficiency with generating tables and graphs), and Power Point, and have strong oral and written communication skills. Additional technical competencies in SharePoint and other information technology systems are highly desirable, as is experience with PubMed databases and other literature databases.

    • Candidates with academic and/or industrial clinical trial experience are preferred

    • A minimum GPA of 3.0 is strongly preferred

    • Participation in campus/community service activities is desired

    • Please note that this will be a hybrid virtual/in-office role, with a few days per week being present at our headquarters offices in Horsham, PA.
