    DePuy Synthes is recruiting for an Operations Excellence Intern, located in Miami, FL.

    Our intern is responsible for leading and support project and issue management activities, strategic programs, and drive operational excellence between DePuy Synthes and our external manufacturing partners. This supply chain-based role will lead multi-cross functional teams to ensure that all projects relating to Patient Safety, Quality, Compliance, Service, Growth, and Value are executed to exceed business metrics. This exciting role will be responsible for creation of a project business case, developing transformational projects and ensuring successful implementation of projects that will add value to the overall business. Furthermore, this individual will have an opportunity to learn Six Sigma, Lean and Project Management fundamentals and methodologies.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Lead/Execute projects in line using standard project management guidelines.
    • Lead issues and supply chain projects impacting patient safety, compliance, quality, service, growth, and value within the Sterile Portfolio.
    • Assist leadership in providing analytics, reporting and key insights for projects within the Sterile Portfolio.
    • Ensure that projects are performed in compliance with the Quality System and drives efforts to improve a culture of quality and compliance.
    • Develop strong business partner relationships throughout the organization to ensure excellence in project execution.
    • Understanding of various business processes, governances and supporting systems and the tools/templates used for project & portfolio management.

    Qualifications

    • Candidate must be actively enrolled in an accredited University for the duration of assignment pursuing a Bachelor’s, Master’s/MBA or PHD
    • Minimum GPA of 2.8 is required
    • Completion of Undergraduate Freshmen year at accredited University is required. Must not be a Senior graduating prior to program end date.

    Experience and Skills:

    Required:

    • Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. and must not require sponsorship for employment visa status now, or in the future (ex. H1-B) F-1 Visa. Students should be under OPT /CPT program is required for STEM roles
    • Ability to demonstrate strong analytical and quantitative skills is required
    • Excellent communication, presentation skills and leadership skills are preferred
    • Ability to balance multiple projects and initiatives while executing results
    • Must be a self-starter who works independently while contributing to the team goals

    Preferred:

    • Proven leadership/participation with campus programs and/or community service activities is desired
