Formed by the merger of Arden Hill Hospital and Horton Medical Center, Orange Regional is licensed for 383 beds and employs over 2,500 healthcare professionals including over 600 doctors. Orange Regional Medical Center has consolidated two existing campuses onto a single site in Middletown, New York. This completed facility is the first new freestanding hospital built in the State of New York since 1989 and is the largest medical center between the Tappan Zee Bridge and Albany. Responsibilities Under direct supervision of the Senior Business Partner, in collaboration with matrix reporting to the HR Directors and HR Management team the HR Business Partner maintains responsibility for Human Resources activities for assigned client groups including but not limited to employee relations, benefits administration, performance management, HRIS and compensation. Provides advice, counsel and follow-up on hospital policies, procedures, and documentation. Serve as front-line resource in assisting both employees and management staff with HR-related questions providing for total customer satisfaction. Qualifications Minimum Education: BA/BS degree in Human Resources, Business Administration/Management, Organizational Development or a related field required. Minimum Experience: Three (3) years of experience as an HR Generalist or in an HR Specialist role (i.e. Compensation, Benefits, HRIS, Training & Development, Recruitment, etc.). Excellent verbal and written communication skills required. Good organizational skills and the ability to plan and meet deadlines required. Must be computer literate; proficiency with MS Office software (Word / Excel/ Outlook) required. Ability to read, write and communicate in English required. Working knowledge of HRIS systems (i.e. Lawson, Ultipro, etc.) strongly preferred. Required Certification/Registration: SPHR or PHR Preferred Physical Requirements: Demonstrates physical and functional ability to perform full anatomical range of motion to accomplish tasks. Evidence of visual and aural acuity and finger and hand dexterity to operate a computer and office equipment for extended periods of time.Can withstand long periods of sitting, standing and/or constant walking. Ability to lift a minimum of 10 lbs. Mental Demands: Ability to foster collaborative relationships, to work well under pressure, to organize and synthesize new information and prioritize tasks . Possesses critical thinking, analytical skills and flexibility. Ability to multi task. Required detailed attention to work in an environment where interruptions cannot be controlled. Demonstrates sensitivity to customer needs and expectations. May be subject to irregular hours. Working Conditions : Normal office; works in a clean, well-lighted, heated or ventilated office.
