Hours of work are flexible to meet program needs, with some evenings and weekends required. This position will be located at NARAâ??s Outpatient location in the Goose Hollow neighborhood of downtown Portland. Essential Job Duties: â?¢Provide mental health assessments at intake and when updates are required. â?¢Provide individual and group therapy sessions, using evidence based practices such as Seeking Safety and DBT informed interventions. â?¢Learn and apply culturally informed interventions when applicable and appropriate. â?¢Serve as consultant and liaison with referral sources and treatment providers. â?¢Complete written diagnostic assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, transfer and discharge summaries and other documentation as required. Contribute to development of treatment plan with addictions counselors. â?¢Provide crisis intervention services as needed including referral and follow up. â?¢Participate in community mental health awareness and community outreach programs of NARA. â?¢Provide referral and follow up and outreach services as needed. â?¢Provide psycho-educational groups/trainings to clients or staff as needed. â?¢Participate in outpatient staff meetings as needed. â?¢Participate in adult mental health staff meetings. â?¢Participate in quality assurance activities including chart reviews. â?¢Attend relevant training as assigned. â?¢Participate in multi-disciplinary clinic staffing and meetings as needed. To Qualify: â?¢Masterâ??s degree in social work, psychology, counseling, or psychiatric nursing plus two years paid experience as Mental Health Specialist, dual diagnosis experience. â?¢Licensed as LCSW, LPC, or LMFT. â?¢Ability to maintain professional boundaries with clients, the community, and other staff members. â?¢Work collaboratively with clients, other NARA staff, team members, and to treat everyone with respect and dignity at all times. â?¢Experience working within the Native American/Alaska Native community is considered a plus.
