Cancer Registrar Overlake Medical Center 125 reviews - Bellevue, WA 98004 The Cancer Registrar is responsible for identifying, abstracting and continuing surveillance of patients who have been diagnosed with cancer or who have received cancer treatment at Overlake. The frame work for the Cancer Registry role is defined by WAC 24-102, the current standards established by the American College of Surgeons (ACOS) Commission on Cancer (CoC), the NCIs Survival, Epidemiology and End Results Program (SEER) and the National Accreditation Program for Breast Centers (NAPBC). Cancer Registrars assist with the statistical analysis of data and perform study searches and aid in the compilation, preparation, and presentation of all requirements for accreditation review by the CoC and other accrediting bodies. Minimum Qualifications: Education: Associate degree required. Bachelors degree preferred. Professional Licensure/Certification/Registration: Must be a Certified Tumor Registrar (CTR) or be CTR-eligible as defined by the National Cancer Registrars Association and successfully complete the CTR exam within twelve months of hire. Experience: Two years recent experience in CoC approved cancer program preferred. Special Training/Skills: Excel, Word, cancer registry software (OncoLog preferred).
