    POSITION DESCRIPTION

    The associate in this position will perform duties for accounting and financial reporting within the Manufacturer Discounts department of OptumRx, the pharmacy benefit management division of UnitedHealth Group. (Discounts from the pharmaceutical manufacturers comprise a substantial portion of the segment's multi-billion dollar annual revenue).

    PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • In providing consumer-oriented health benefit plans to millions of people, our goal is to create higher quality care, lower costs and greater access to health care. As a finance professional, you will be empowered to achieve new levels of excellence and make a profound and personal impact as you contribute to new innovations in a vital and complex system
    • Responsible for accurate and timely processing of pharmaceutical rebates by establishing and maintaining contract databases in the rebate billing system, verifying rebate eligibility by client formulary and line of business and by preparing rebate billing reports and invoices sent to pharmaceutical manufacturers
    • Works with Industry Relations, Client Management, Clinical Services and assigned Pharmaceutical Manufacturers to identify rebate eligibility and formulary information
    • Works with Rebate Accounting to identify issues to payment collection and reconciliation

    REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

    • 6+ months of relevant experience
    • Intermediate level experience with MS Excel and other MS Office products

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Microsoft Access experience
    • PBM experience
    • SQL experience
